All about the Municipal Council Elections 2026
On Wednesday, 18 March, the municipal council elections will take place. On that day, we will vote in our village for the municipal council of Oegstgeest. As a resident of Oegstgeest with a non-Dutch background, you are also entitled to vote in the upcoming municipal council elections.

Registrations and moving
Moving to The Netherlands for the first time
Are you moving to the Netherlands form abroad and do you plan to live in the municipality of Oegstgeest? Then you should make an appointment with the municipality.
Moving back to The Netherlands
Are you moving back to the Netherlands from abroad, or have you been deregistered from the Personal Records Database (BRP)? If so, you are required to re-register with the municipality of Oegstgeest in person if you intend to stay for more than 4 months. This is a legal requirement.

Already live in The Netherlands and are you planning to move to the municipality of Oegstgeest or are you moving within the municipality? You can register your move up to 4 weeks in advance.
Registering as a non-resident in the Netherlands (RNI)
