On Wednesday, 18 March, the municipal council elections will take place. On that day, we will vote in our village for the municipal council of Oegstgeest. As a resident of Oegstgeest with a non-Dutch background, you are also entitled to vote in the upcoming municipal council elections.

We greatly value your involvement in our village and therefore in the local elections. I warmly invite you to cast your vote on 18 March between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. at one of the polling stations in Oegstgeest. You can vote for one of the six (local) political parties in Oegstgeest.

Important topics in your living environment

The municipal council decides on important matters in your immediate living environment, such as parks, schools, roads, and culture. Topics such as sustainability, the economy, reducing waste, housing, healthcare, and social welfare are also important issues in and for our municipality. With your vote, you help shape the future of our village.

Bring your voting pass and ID to the polling station

  • Voting pass: You will receive your voting pass by post no later than 4 March.
  • Identification: Do not forget to bring both your voting pass and a valid ID (passport, European identity card, or Dutch residence document) to the polling station.
  • Proxy voting: Are you unable to vote in person on 18 March? You can authorize another voter to vote on your behalf. You can arrange this easily on the back of your voting pass or by using the downloadable form.
